Rock League is ready for launch with its 2026 and 2027 schedules set in stone.

The Curling Group announced Thursday the dates and locations for the first two seasons of its all-new professional league.

It all begins with a condensed preview season, April 6-12, 2026, at TMU Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto, before rolling out a five-week season in 2027.

Six premier franchises will compete during the seven-day extravaganza: Alpine Curling Club, Frontier Curling Club, Maple United, Northern United, Shield Curling Club and Typhoon Curling Club. Each franchise features five men’s curlers and five women’s curlers competing in four-player team matches (men's, women's and mixed) and mixed doubles.

Full rosters and GMs for all six franchises were revealed Tuesday. Strategic advisors Jennifer Jones and John Morris crafted the lineups.

Rock League will also offer interactive fan experiences and entertainment.

“Today’s fans want more than a seat in the stands. They want to feel the energy, be part of the action, and share in the passion of the sport,” The Curling Group CEO and co-founder Nic Sulsky said in a release. “Rock League’s debut season will be a showcase of the innovation and atmosphere that will define a new era in curling, honouring the game’s roots while making it more accessible, more interactive, and way more fun.”

Rock League preview season format

The first four days — Monday, April 6, to Thursday, April 9 — will feature a full round-robin schedule. Each game will see two franchises facing off against each other in three different matchups across the sheets: men’s teams, women’s teams and mixed doubles. The franchise that takes at least two of the matchups wins the game.

Things get “mixed” up for the final day of preliminary play on Friday, April 10. Each franchise will field two mixed fours teams, with each game worth one point toward the standings.

The top four franchises advance to the semifinals on Saturday, April 11, followed by the third-place game and championship finals on Sunday, April 12. All playoff games will follow the round-robin format.

Tickets will be available in January. Broadcast details will be announced soon.

2027 schedule

Following the condensed inaugural season, Rock League will return in 2027 with a four-week regular season followed by the championship playoffs. Each week of Rock League will be held in a different location.
