The world’s first professional curling league has arrived.
The world’s first professional curling league has arrived.
Launched by The Curling Group in the spring of 2025, Rock League brings together six mixed-gender, globally based franchises in a multi-format competition designed to elevate the sport into a new professional era.
Rock League will debut on the ice in April 2026 with a condensed season, giving fans an early look at the league’s innovative formats, marquee athletes, and entertainment-driven atmosphere. The league then returns January-April 2027 for its first full campaign, delivering five weeks of premier international competition.
The league’s inaugural six franchises — initially owned by TCG — are regionally anchored: two in Canada (Maple United, Shield Curling Club), two in Europe (Northern United, Alpine Curling Club), one in Asia-Pacific (Typhoon Curling Club), and one in the United States (Frontier Curling Club). Each roster features 10 athletes: five women and five men.
With a mission to deliver world-class competition, drive innovation, and connect curling communities across continents, Rock League will showcase a range of disciplines, including mixed doubles, mixed fours, and traditional four-person men’s and women’s play. Click here for format details.
