Typhoon Curling Club roster revealed for inaugural Rock League season

Chinami Yoshida will make waves with Typhoon Curling Club for the inaugural season of Rock League.

Yoshida was named one of six captains when the professional league was announced last April.

The two-time Olympic medallist will lead the Asia/Pacific-based franchise.

Here's a look at the full roster:

Chinami Yoshida (Captain; Kitami, Japan): Yoshida is a two-time medallist at the Winter Olympics, earning silver in 2022 and bronze in 2018. She has won four Japanese championships and captured silver at the World Women's Curling Championship in 2016. Yoshida claimed her first career Grand Slam of Curling title at the 2023 Canadian Open.

Anna Hasselborg (Stockholm, Sweden): Hasselborg captured gold at the Winter Olympics in 2018 and earned bronze in 2022. She has won eight Grand Slam of Curling titles and became the first women's skip to complete a career Grand Slam. Hasselborg won gold at the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship in 2019 with Oskar Eriksson.

Min-ji Kim (Uijeongbu, South Korea): Kim claimed her first major Grand Slam of Curling title at the 2023 National playing third with Team Gim. She previously skipped her own squad, winning the 2019 Tour Challenge Tier 2 title and finishing runner-up in the 2020 Canadian Open. Kim will make her Olympic debut in 2026.

Ye-eun Seol (Uijeongbu, South Korea): Seol will represent South Korea at the upcoming Winter Olympics. She plays lead on Team Gim alongside her twin sister, Ye-ji Seoul, who serves as the alternate. Seol won her first Grand Slam of Curling title at the 2023 National.

Tori Koana (Kofu, Japan): Koana has focused on mixed doubles in recent years with Go Aoki. They were victorious in the Japanese Olympic mixed doubles curling trials and are currently looking to book their spot at the Winter Games through the Olympic Qualification Event in Kelowna, B.C.

Niklas Edin (Karlstad, Sweden): One of the most decorated curlers in history, Edin has won a record seven World Men's Curling Championship gold medals as a skip. He has claimed a medal of every colour at the Winter Olympics, reaching the top of the podium in 2022. Edin has also earned four Grand Slam of Curling titles.

Tsuyoshi Yamaguchi (Nagano, Japan): Yamaguchi skips and throws third on his tour team. He has competed in the World Men's Curling Championship eight times and represented Japan at the Winter Olympics in 2018. Yamaguchi has also played in the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship three times.

Bobby Lammie (Stirling, Scotland): Lammie throws second stones on tour for Team Mouat. He has won two World Men's Curling Championship gold medals and 12 Grand Slam of Curling titles. He earned silver at the 2022 Winter Olympics.

Dexin Ba (Harbin, China): Ba has competed in the World Men's Curling Championship eight times. He has also represented China twice at the Winter Olympics, playing in the men's tournament in 2014 and finishing fourth in mixed doubles in 2018.

Anton Hood (Nazeby, New Zealand): Hood has skipped New Zealand in two World Men's Curling Championship appearances in 2023 and 2024. He also competed in the 2024 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship with Courtney Smith.
