Rock League rosters by the numbers

Olympic medallists, world champions, Grand Slam title winners and more. Here's a breakdown of the curlers competing in the inaugural season of Rock League (April 6-12, TMU Mattamy Athletic Centre, Toronto) by the numbers.

60 — Athletes competing during the inaugural season, plus two super spares on hand in case of injuries.

56 — Athletes who played in at least one Grand Slam of Curling event this season, including Tier 2 tournaments.

45 — Age of Mike McEwen (Maple United), the oldest player on a Rock League franchise.

39 — Athletes who competed at the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, including 25 who earned medals.

36 — Athletes who have won a Grand Slam of Curling major title in their careers.

32.7 — Average age of the athletes competing in Rock League at the start of the inaugural season.

24 — Athletes who have won a gold medal at the men’s, women’s or mixed doubles world championship in their careers.

22 — Age of Selina Gafner (Alpine Curling Club), the youngest player on a Rock League franchise.

17 — Athletes who are 29 years of age or younger at the start of the inaugural season.

15 — Athletes from Canada, the most of any country. 

14 — Athletes who have won an Olympic gold medal in their careers.

12 — Nationalities represented: Canada, China, Germany, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, Scotland, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United States.

3 — Couples that are playing for the same franchise: Jocelyn Peterman and Brett Gallant (Maple United) are married, Alina Pätz and Sven Michel (Alpine Curling Club) are engaged, and Ye-eun Seol and Bobby Lammie (Typhoon Curling Club) are also in a relationship.

2 — Sets of siblings playing for the same franchise: Isabella and Rasmus Wranå (Northern United), and Tracy Fleury and Jacob Horgan (Shield Curling Club). Tracy and Jacob’s brother Tanner Horgan (Maple United) is also competing in Rock League.

2 — Curlers who throw left-handed: Oskar Eriksson (Alpine Curling Club) and Ye-eun Seol (Typhoon Curling Club).
