TORONTO — We're down to the final four in Rock League's debut season!

Playoff matches consist of women's fours, men's fours and mixed doubles games. The first franchise to win two of the three games advances to the championship final.

Here's a look at Sunday's semifinals at TMU Mattamy Athletic Centre. The championship final goes down at 4 p.m. ET.

Northern United vs. Typhoon Curling Club, 10 a.m. ET

Fancy seeing you here! Northern United and Typhoon Curling Club just met in Saturday's mixed fours round. The franchises split their match, with both earning a single point in the standings. Elimination is on the line this time.

As the higher seed, Northern will start with the hammer in the mixed doubles game and its choice of either the men's fours or the women's fours contest.

Northern won the coin toss Thursday in the round robin against Typhoon, leading to a 3-0 sweep. Kristin Skaslien and Yannick Schwaller defeated Tori Koana and Tsuyoshi Yamaguchi 8-5 in the mixed doubles, while Northern captain Bruce Mouat kept the hammer for himself and skipped the men's squad to a 10-4 rout over Niklas Edin's crew. Isabella WranĂĄ upended Anna Hasselborg 7-6 in a shootout to end the women's fours game and complete the sweep.

Expect it to be closer this time around, especially after Saturday's 1-1 draw in mixed fours as Typhoon now has a confidence boost. Hasselborg earned player of the match honours, and the two-time Olympic gold medallist is dialed in.

Alpine Curling Club vs. Shield Curling Club, 1 p.m. ET

A full-circle moment as Alpine Curling Club and Shield Curling Club played in the inaugural match of Rock League on Monday. Shield won 2-1 as captain Brad Jacobs skipped the men's squad to a 9-4 win over Joël Retornaz's men's squad, and Carole Howald and Benoît Schwarz-van Berkel stunned Almida de Val and Oskar Eriksson 6-4 in mixed doubles. Alpine captain Alina Pätz and her women's team doubled up on Kerri Einarson's crew 8-4.

Shield won the coin toss for that game, but Alpine will start with the hammer in two of the three games this time.

Pätz has been Alpine's MVP, going 4-1 in women's games during the round robin. Her team's lone loss was the result of a two-point pin shot from Frontier's Tabitha Peterson to win 8-7 on Tuesday. Revenge was in the cards when the franchises met in mixed fours Saturday. Pätz scored two in the sixth and stole one in the seventh to win 6-5 and not only clinch a playoff spot but eliminate Frontier as well.

De Val had to return home to Sweden on Friday for a private family matter, with super spare Linda Stenlund filling in for the remainder of the tournament. Stenlund has played lead on the women's team, with Sofia Scharback moving over to mixed doubles with Eriksson.

Shield swept Maple to wrap up the round robin Friday night, but the roles were reversed in Saturday afternoon's mixed fours. Maple won both games to hold off elimination for a few hours until later results decided its fate. Captain Brad Jacobs will have to rallying his group but that shouldn't be a problem considering they were firing on all cylinders just a day prior. Einarson and the women's team had found their groove with three straight wins against Typhoon, Frontier and Maple.

Schwarz-van Berkel is now paired with Marlee Powers for mixed doubles and the pair clicked in the round-robin finale, winning 10-6 over Maple's Jocelyn Peterman and Tanner Horgan.
