"It's about time": Maple United GM Glenn Howard is fired up for Rock League

April 3, 2026

Glenn Howard's been around curling for most of his life.

And the four-time Brier and world champion, who is serving as Maple United's GM in the first-ever season of Rock League, couldn't be more jazzed for the new format in the sport.

"My first words were, 'It's about time,' Howard told host John Cullen in a recent episode of The Broom Brothers. "I've been around the game a hundred years, as you know, we've tried so many different attempts at something like this... I think it's the natural progression. We've been trying to do something like this for literally 40 years and it's never happened. This is our best chance."

The full interview is available on YouTube, starting at 2:15, as well as on Apple Podcasts, and Spotify.
